This car hire company operates an outlet in Geraldton, 3 hours north of Perth. Despite optimisation, their website was previously nowhere on the first 10 pages of Google for any of their major keywords (primary keyword was 'car hire Geraldton'). They had a total of 9 links to their website initially. Over 5 months we spent 6 hours a month working on their link popularity (total of 30 hours). We managed to get 72 websites to agree to link back to their website.
According to Google on 1st July 2005, they have a total of 126 links, and are sitting #1 on Google for 'car hire Geraldton'. They now have in excess of 500 links and are still #1 on Google for 'car hire Geraldton'.

When Google did its whirlwind 'Florida' update in late 2004, their page 1 positioning for 'florist Perth' was disrupted, and they couldn't be found in the first 10 pages of results on Google. We spent a total of 40 hours in getting links to their website over approximately 12 months. We achieved 126 links in total, and they are now #1 on Google for 'florist Perth'. They have been in this position since December 2004 without any further work.
Their Google link count went from approximately 80 to 421 as of 1st July 2005. Today it is well over 1,800.

This company based in Sydney has approximately 400 Australian celebrities available for public speaking, conferences etc. Their primary keyword was 'celebrity speakers australia', for which they were ranking on page 3. They were eager to get results quickly, and so we are doing 10 hours per month here. We have achieved 17 links total to this site in a 20 hour period. The speaker industry has been a tough area in looking for related high quality websites that are willing to exchange links.
They are now ranking #1 on Google for 'celebrity speakers Australia', and #3 for the highly competitive 'celebrity speakers'. Their Google link count has increased from 56 to 300+.
